Ex-US President Jimmy Carter's memories of Dylan Thomas poem

People are gathering in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, for a festival celebrating the life and work of Dylan Thomas, who was born 100 years ago.

The town inspired one of his most famous works, Under Milk Wood, and events are taking place around the castle all weekend.

Former US President Jimmy Carter has also been telling the BBC about the first time he came across Thomas's work.

Arts and media correspondent Huw Thomas told BBC Wales Today's Nicola Smith more about the weekend events and President Carter.
