National parks review 'to start in weeks' in Wales
A review of Wales' national parks is expected to start within weeks.
This was confirmed to BBC Wales by Environment Minister John Griffiths at the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells.
The parks were set up in the 1950s and the review could lead to one national park and national park authority, as well as directly-elected members.
BBC Wales environment correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd reports that there has been criticism for the planning powers lying with the park authorities.
