Scots vote prompts 'most important debate', Owen Smith says

Labour's Shadow Welsh Secretary Owen Smith has gone to Scotland to urge people to vote against independence in next week's referendum.

Recent polls suggest the result on 18 September will be close.

Mr Smith is joining the "no" campaign on Thursday, a day after the three main UK party leaders travelled to Scotland.

He told Margaret Keenan the referendum had sparked the "most important debate facing Britain"
