S4C's voice 'must be heard' on funding says chairman

The chairman of S4C said it is important the Welsh-language channel is involved in the discussions about the BBC's charter renewal and the future of the licence fee.

The channel's largest share of funding now comes from the licence fee, with only a small proportion coming from the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS).

Huw Jones said S4C's voice needs to be heard in the negotiations.
