Assisted dying: MP's tears over terminally ill husband

An MP was reduced to tears as she spoke of caring for her terminally ill husband during a debate on a bill to legalise the so-called "right to die".

Bridgend MP Madeleine Moon, whose husband died after suffering from motor neurone disease, supported the bill, saying MPs had a duty to consider the "will of the people" and debate the "difficult choices in front of society".

MPs voted overwhelmingly to reject the bill, by 330 votes to 118.
