Alun Cairns: We will work to make Trump presidency a success

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns has pledged that the UK government will work with the US to make Donald Trump's presidency a success.

The real estate mogul and former reality TV star has surprised many by beating Hillary Clinton in the election to take the White House back for the Republicans after eight years of Democrat rule.

Mr Cairns told the BBC that the Americans were "key allies", and the UK's relationship with the US went "much deeper than any one individual".
