Trump win shows people no longer want to be ignored, Leanne Wood says

Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood says Donald Trump's US election victory was "an expression of people who no longer want to be ignored".

The real estate mogul and former reality TV star has surprised many by beating Hillary Clinton in the election to take the White House back for the Republicans after eight years of Democrat rule.

Ms Wood told BBC Wales she was "disappointed" by the result, but recognised that many people voted for Mr Trump because they wanted "better opportunities and hopes for jobs".
