Welsh funding deal recognises needs, Mark Drakeford says
Finance Secretary Mark Drakeford has welcomed a UK Treasury deal over funding for the Welsh Government after tax devolution.
Ministers in Cardiff Bay will have powers over about 20% of the money they have available to spend on public services.
But most of their budget will continue to come in an annual block grant from the Treasury.
Mr Drakeford said the key to the agreement was to recognise that Wales needed more public funding per head due to the nature of its population.
