Welsh Government bullying inquiry 'step in right direction'

Mark Reckless from the Conservative group in the Welsh Assembly has welcomed the first minister's decision to refer himself to an independent inquiry into whether he misled the Senedd.

Carwyn Jones has been accused of giving conflicting accounts as to whether he was aware of allegations of intimidating behaviour in 2014.

On Tuesday he said there had been "issues" of unhappy ministers but "no specific accusation" of bullying.

Mr Reckless said the Conservatives wanted an assembly committee to determine whether the inquiry was a "genuinely independent process".
