Carl Sargeant asked me to table questions on bullying, Millar says
Tory AM Darren Millar has told the Welsh Assembly it was Carl Sargeant who asked him to table questions in 2014 about bullying within the Welsh Government.
Mr Sargeant was found dead four days after being sacked as communities secretary by First Minister Carwyn Jones in November following allegations of inappropriate conduct towards women.
Following his death, former public services minister Leighton Andrews claimed that Mr Sargeant had been a target of bullying in 2014.
Mr Jones is facing an inquiry into claims he misled the assembly in his answers to Mr Millar's questions at the time, and about what he knew about any bullying allegations.
In a personal statement to the Senedd on Tuesday, the Clwyd West AM said: "Carl told me that he was unhappy because there was bullying within the Welsh Government" which had been "taking a toll on him personally, along with others".
