Queen's Baton Relay: Falkland Islands eager for Games
The Falkland Islands badminton team wait with anticipation for the Commonwealth Games this summer as it provides a unique opportunity to face new competition.
Coach Doug Clark explained that players from the isolated islands rarely get the chance to play in international tournaments, and the Games in Glasgow will be a refreshing cultural and sporting experience for his young squad.
Badminton will have the islands' biggest representation of athletes at the Games.
The team has help from Rebecca Pantaney, who won gold at the women's team event at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.
BBC reporter Mark Beaumont met with the badminton team as the Queen's Baton Relay stopped for a short stay on the Falkands.
