Queen's Baton Relay: Rebuilding lives in Montserrat after a volcanic eruption
As the Queen's baton arrived on the Caribbean island of Montserrat, BBC Queen's Baton Relay presenter Mark Beaumont discovered how the country is getting back on its feet following a volcanic explosion nearly twenty years ago.
In 1995, the Soufrière Hills volcano erupted on the island. In the next few years, the capital Plymouth was abandoned and 19 people lost their lives.
Since then, the 5000 people left on the island have been rebuilding their lives and the country.
Mark met some athletes who are playing their own part in that recovery.
