IS 'must be degraded and then destroyed' - Barack Obama

US President Barack Obama has said the Islamic State "must be degraded and then destroyed".

He made the comments in his address to the United Nations as he laid out a vision of American leadership in a changing world.

He added that the United States would work with a broad coalition to "dismantle this network of death".
