'New phase' in Nato strategy as Gaddafi's compound bombed

Nato aircraft have bombed Colonel Gaddafi's compound in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, badly damaging three buildings.

A government official has described the attack as an attempt on the Libyan leader's life.

Fighting has also continued in the city of Misrata, where the Libyan government had claimed to have halted military operations.

Ian Pannel reports from Tripoli.
