Nelson Mandela is in a "serious but stable" condition after being re-admitted to hospital after suffering from a recurrence of a lung infection

Mr Mandela, who is 94, spent 10 days in hospital three months ago after developing pneumonia.

The South African Presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj gave an update on his condition.
