Nigeria school reforms offer children broader education

The Islamist group, Boko Haram's campaign of violence has forced the closure of many schools in Nigeria.

More than 200 school girls are still in captivity, seven weeks after being abducted.

But even before this violence, literacy rates were extremely low in the north of the country, due to decades of poor governance and neglect

Now there are efforts to reform schools so that millions of children can get a broader education.
