US firms' new-found love for Kenya
Political and business leaders from across Africa are taking part in a three-day summit in the United States which aims to strengthen trade links with the continent, where the US lags behind China.
According to US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, about $900m (£535m) in business deals will be announced during the summit.
But, as BBC Africa's Anne Soy reports from the Kenyan capital Nairobi, many American firms and entrepreneurs are already defying Chinese dominance in key African markets.
