President Kenyatta: 'We will not flinch' in fight against al-Shabab

Kenya "will not flinch" in the war against Islamist group al-Shabab, after a massacre near the Somali border, the country's president has said.

In a televised address, Uhuru Kenyatta also also confirmed that he had accepted an offer from police commissioner, David Kimaiyo, to retire.

Mr Kenyatta's speech came hours after al-Shabab killed 36 quarry workers in the north-eastern Mandera region.
