Violent protests in Dhaka over death of Islamist leader

At least five people have died in violent protests in Bangladesh following the execution of the Islamist opposition leader, Abdul Kader Mollah.

He was hanged on Thursday for war crimes committed during Bangladesh's war of independence from Pakistan in 1971.

Demonstrators set fire to houses, shops and vehicles as they clashed with police.
