Bangladesh election: Clashes as voting begins

At least five people have been killed in clashes with police as the polls opened in Bangladesh, in an election the opposition are boycotting.

Fewer than half the parliamentary seats are being contested, dozens of polling stations have been torched and voting has been suspended at some 140 centres because of unrest.

The BBC's Mahfuz Sadique reports from Dhaka.
