Gala spectacle for Chinese New Year

China is celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Horse and many people across the country are set to enjoy a week-long holiday, featuring generous banquets and visits to relatives.

At the centre of it all is China's television event of the year, a spectacle watched by millions.
