Crowds sigh as Pope says he must leave Tacloban early

The Pope was due to meet survivors of typhoon Haiyan in the Philippine city of Tacloban, but a storm forced him to cut short his visit.

Tens of thousands braved pouring rain and strong winds brought by Tropical Storm Mekkhala to attend the Mass.

The Pope said that he was "truly saddened" to have to go.

Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reports.
