The girl fighting to stop child marriage in Pakistan

Changing the mindset and traditions of a conservative society is never easy - especially for a young girl.

But that is exactly what a teenage activist in Pakistan's north-western Swat valley is trying to do.

Hadiqa Bashir has taken on the challenge of ending child marriage in her community - a community where such marriages are considered the norm, and where girls can be offered for marriage in exchange for settling a dispute or to keep land in the family.
