Asia migrant crisis: 'A good step forward'
Malaysia and Indonesia have said they will offer temporary shelter to thousands of Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants stranded in the Andaman Sea.
Foreign ministers from the two countries plus Thailand held emergency talks in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
The offer has been made on the condition that the international community will help to repatriate or resettle them within a year.
The BBC's Mariko Oi described the announcement as "a good step forward".
