Corruption trial begins for former Thai PM Shinawatra

The trial has begun in Thailand of former prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra.

She faces corruption charges related to a rice subsidy scheme that ended up costing the Thai government billions of dollars.

Ms Yingluck, who was ousted in a coup in May 2014, argues she did nothing wrong.
