Hong Kong protesters 'would resist' police force

Police in Hong Kong have begun removing barricades at sites where pro-democracy protesters have been camped out for more than two weeks.

The barricades were put up in the city centre by demonstrators calling for full democracy in the territory.

Officials say the goal was to ease traffic congestion and not to clear the protest areas.
