Japan earthquake: Fuel shortages in Yamagata

Many foreigners are leaving Japan as fears grow after radiation levels spiked at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant earlier.

Two expatriates who live in Yamagata say they have been facing limits on grocery purchases and long waits in supermarket queues for supplies.

English teachers, Sion Palmer and Laura Hughes say people in the area have also faced disruptions due to fuel shortages.
