Japan authorities attempt to calm fears over nuclear risk

The Japanese government is trying to calm fears about radiation leaking from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant which was badly damaged in Friday's earthquake and tsunami.

Radiation levels were briefly raised after a fire in a reactor housing spent fuel, but the authorities say they are now falling from their earlier peak.
