Hope for explorer trapped in German cave

Rescue workers in Germany say an injured man trapped in the country's deep cave system is in better condition than expected.

It raises hopes that they will be able to bring him to the surface over the next few days.

The 52-year-old was exploring the Alps with companions near Berchtesgaden when he suffered head injuries from falling rocks on Sunday.
