Ukraine conflict: EU's Ashton urges resolution

The European Union is continuing its efforts to find a solution to the Ukraine conflict that will "bring security and stability" to the country, the EU's foreign policy chief has said.

Speaking ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers, Baroness Catherine Ashton said that any resolution must "respect the territorial integrity" of Ukraine.

Her comments came as Ukraine announced that its border guards are to inspect a controversial Russian aid convoy at the border.

Ukraine fears the convoy may carry military supplies for the rebels, an accusation Russia has rejected.
