MEP Lamberts: UK's Lord Hill is wrong man for the job

One of the European Parliament's MEPs who grilled Lord Hill, the UK's candidate to join the European Commission, on Wednesday has been explaining why he thinks the Conservative politician is not the right man for the job.

Lord Hill is in line for a top job running financial services. He has been summoned to a second hearing of MEPs to assess his suitability for the job.

The co-chairman of the Greens in the European Parliament, Belgian MEP Philippe Lamberts, said he had not been convinced by Lord Hill's answers.
