Putin seeks to ease fears over Russian economic crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed what he called "outside factors" for the falling value of the rouble.

Speaking at his end-of-year address, he admitted that it could take two years for the country to recover from its current economic troubles.

Russia is on the verge of recession due to falling oil prices and sanctions over its role in the Ukraine crisis.
