Ukraine crisis: Debaltseve with no power since New Year

Ukraine is marking the first anniversary of the clashes between protesters and police which toppled ex-President Viktor Yanukovych.

More than 100 people died in the violence on the Maidan - Kiev's central Independence Square - a year ago.

The Ukrainian army has suffered setbacks in the conflict in recent days, with pro-Russian rebels pushing the army back from the key town of Debaltseve.

The BBC's Paul Adam's reports from the town's deserted central street.
