Syria unrest: Stories of children caught in violence

It is a year since a small protest took place in the south-eastern Syrian town of Deraa, following the arrests of 15 teenage boys who sprayed anti-government graffiti on a wall.

The town and its children have become enduring symbols of the resistance, with hundreds of young people among the almost 8,000 to have died in the violence.
