Iraq violence producing a 'damaged generation'

Children and young people are bearing the brunt of the dramatically increased levels of violence in Iraq, with schools not immune to attacks on public places.

Earlier this month a suicide bomber killed 18 children and their head teacher in a school playground.

The immediate impact on the children's lives comes in the form of cancelled school trips and daily safety lessons, but there are also concerns about the psychological damage being done to an entire generation.
