Egypt: Protesters gather outside court for Morsi hearing

Crowds have gathered outside the police academy where the trial of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi is being held.

Mr Morsi was flown in by helicopter from a secret location for the hearing, which is his first public appearance since he was ousted by the army in July.

Security services are on high alert after supporters of the former president called for major protests.
