Egypt election: Sisi faces 'credibility gap'
Former military chief Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has won an overwhelming victory in Egypt's presidential election, according to provisional results.
He gained over 96% of the vote with ballots from most polling stations counted, according to state media.
The BBC's Orla Guerin in Cairo said that there was no doubt about the scale of the victory, but that Egypt's new leader faced a "credibility gap" because voter turnout was only around 45%.
