Air and rocket strikes between Israel and Hamas intensify

Palestinian militants have fired more rockets into Israeli cities after Israel carried out dozens of air strikes on Gaza on Tuesday.

Israel said it had intercepted eight rockets, while authorities in Gaza say at least 35 Palestinians have been killed and 300 hurt in the recent hostilities.
