Islamic State crisis: Kurds 'ready for action' in Iraq

While President Obama was in Washington preparing to deliver his speech outlining his strategy for dealing with Islamic State militants, the regional president of Iraqi Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani, was at one of the battlefronts near Mosul.

The Kurds have slowly regained areas seized by the IS militants in a lightning strike last month and say they are ready to take part in a broader action.
