Islamic State crisis: Iraq torn over western intervention
Thousands continue to flee from Islamic State forces in Iraq, many describing the beheading of captives, the torching of homes and the use of rape as a weapon of war.
The UK has voted to join air strikes against IS targets there, however the country is torn over western intervention.
In the Iraqi capital, Shia leaders have rejected the need for help, and are recruiting local people to fight back against the extremists,
But the Iraqi government insists that outside support is vital.
