Fighting around Kobane continues between IS and Kurds

There have been some skirmishes around the Syrian town of Kobane between Islamic State and Kurdish forces.

The US airdropped supplies to the Kurdish fighters, providing them with weapons and medical supplies.

Turkey has also reversed its earlier decision and will allow Kurdish fighters to cross their border with Syria to fight IS.
