Iraq's Barzani praises Peshmerga forces on Mount Sinjar
Iraqi Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani has praised Peshmerga fighters on a visit to Mount Sinjar, claiming a "large area" of Sinjar has been retaken from Islamic State (IS) militants.
At the same time, a convoy of humanitarian aid is setting off to help the thousands of Yazidis who have been trapped on the mountain since August.
If the Peshmerga succeed in reclaiming Sinjar from IS, they will cut a key supply route for the militants between Syria and Iraq's second city, Mosul.
