Jordanian pilot's father in plea to Islamic State
The father of a Jordanian pilot being held captive by Islamic State (IS) militants has appealed to the group to grant him amnesty.
Lt Moaz al-Kasasbeh's father, Safi al-Kasasbeh, was speaking as the Jordanian government attempted to secure proof that the hostage was still alive.
Jordan has indicated it would swap an Iraqi al-Qaeda prisoner for its pilot. However, IS is only offering to free a Japanese hostage in return, while sparing the pilot's life.
