Boston explosions: Medical response 'amazing'

Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital have praised medical teams for their response to the explosions which struck the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Dr George Velmahos, Division Chief of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, said that the professionalism of his colleagues made him feel "proud".

Speaking at a news conference, he said that one colleague who had actually taken part in the marathon later returned to work to help.
