Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey awarded US Medal of Freedom
Former President Bill Clinton and broadcaster Oprah Winfrey were among those honoured with the Medal of Freedom by President Obama on Wednesday, the highest civilian award in the US.
The ceremony at the White House on Wednesday also marked the 50th anniversary of the award, which was established by President Kennedy in 1963.
Presenting the awards, President Obama praised all those who were receiving the honour for their contributions to society.
