Chicago hit by one of its heaviest snowstorms ever

Chicago has been hit by a severe snowstorm, one of the city's all-time "top three" heaviest according to Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

The weather has caused significant delays to public transport and made driving difficult.

The city is using all possible resources to clear roads throughout Chicago.
