Hundreds protest against Arctic oil drilling plans
Hundreds of people have taken to the waters of Elliot Bay in Seattle to protest against plans to drill for oil in the Arctic by energy giant Shell.
The Paddle in Seattle event is being held by activists who say the firm's drilling will damage the environment.
It comes after the first of Shell's two oil rigs arrived at the north-western US port.
The firm wants to move them in the summer to explore for oil off Alaska's northern coast.
