Cars engulfed in enormous US mudslide

Heavy rains have triggered flash floods and mudslides across parts of southern California.

Cars and homes were engulfed as a tide of mud swept through rural communities just north of Los Angeles.

Forty-five fire-fighters were working to free drivers stranded in their vehicles.
