    Elliot Burrin
    Live reporter, trusting faithful

"Being in The Traitors final is way more stressful than playing for England," says Joe.

All Traitors contestants say their career helps them to judge people, or to tell if they're lying.

Joe's definitely brought the brute force of rugby into the game, and he's quickly become a fan favourite.

  2. I thought Alan had two episodes, but he's a brilliant traitorpublished at 21:11 GMT

Honestly guys when Alan was picked I LOL’d so hard and thought he has two episodes MAX!

But he is a brilliant traitor and is really good at making people feel comfortable, which has made them trust him!

That’s until last Thursday when he laughed after saying “I’m a faithful”.

  3. David will be the keystone in tonight's finalpublished at 21:10 GMT

David is the keystone for tonight's final, which way will he go?

Last episode he said: "I can't trust anyone - it would be crazy to do so," but it's now crunch time - he's got to choose.

  4. Cat 'surprised herself' with her traitor-ish performancepublished at 21:10 GMT

    Elliot Burrin

"I've surprised myself that I could be a traitor," says Cat to the camera.

So were plenty of the other contestants - who didn't suspect her at all.

  11. Who will be banished first? Let's find outpublished at 21:01 GMT

    Alexander banner

I'm in position for tonight's final, and I've already got some thoughts on who might go first.

It's one of the two faithful; Nick or Joe most likely to be banished first for me.

    Let's find out.

  12. MY NERVES ARE GONEpublished at 20:59 GMT

Banner featuring Minah from Traitors season 3

Who’s everyone rooting for? I’m always team traitors but I have to be honest, Nick and Joe might have converted me to team faithful!

I fully cannot cope it tonight.

  13. 'Cat almost deserves to win', says season 2's Dianepublished at 20:59 GMT

Maybe one of the most iconic faithfuls on the show is season two's Diane Carson - the lovable mother of Ross who stole the show.

"I am a faithful through and through but Cat almost deserves to win," she tells the BBC.

But, as a faithful, she admits she's got to root for Nick and Joe - who've stood up for their beliefs until the very end.

"I'm always in admiration," Diane says.

  14. So, what's on your bingo card?published at 20:56 GMT

Throughout tonight's final we'll be keeping an eye out for some of those moments that make a Traitors episode so memorable.

We've been racking our brains here over the last week to come up with a (nowhere near) definitive list - here's what we'll be on the lookout for tonight:

Graphic banner reads: 'Alan Carr giggles guiltily'
Graphic banner reads: 'Claudia wears an outlandish accessory'
Graphic banner reads: 'A spooky cover of a classic song plays'
Graphic banner reads: 'Joe Marler stares someone down'
Graphic banner reads: 'Somebody says "I know you're a faithful" to a traitor'
  15. Giggles, Garroway and game on: The penultimate episode recappedpublished at 20:53 GMT

It's nearly time... in case you need it, here's a quick recap of the penultimate episode:

Deathly dinner party: Traitor Alan Carr successfully kills in plain sight - his victim, acting legend Celia Imrie, is the last contestant to be murdered.

A funny feeling: Faithful Joe Marler accuses Alan of being a traitor who "deflects" with comedy, as the group are rattled by Celia's demise.

Lasers, and lies: At the Castle Museum, the players add £14,000 to the prize pot by weaving through lasers carrying fake heads of this series' cast - yes, you heard that right. Traitors Cat Burns and Alan speculate with Joe that faithful Kate Garraway is a traitor - a devious ploy.

Garraway goes away: The traitor's plan works and accusations against Kate fly at the roundtable. In the end, Cat gets one vote, David gets two, but Kate is out of the game with three.

"Watch them": Joe thinks he's cracked the code, he tells fellow remaining faithfuls David Olusoga and Nick Mohammed that Cat and Alan are traitors. He's right, but is it too little, too late?

One giggle too far?: There's no murder, instead Claudia Winkleman treats the final five to a glass of fizz. In turn, the players vow they're faithful. For Alan, it's all too much - he breaks into laughter as he seemingly struggles to convince even himself that he could be a faithful.

  16. 'Spooky cupcakes and dressing our cat up in a cloak' - how are you watching tonight?published at 20:52 GMT

    BBC Your Voice banner

I'd love to have been a traitor. Cat will win tonight. She has played the game very well. I'll be sat at home on the end of my seat watching... but I'd love Joe to win. He has been the best detective in the show.

    Ian

My husband and I are preparing by making some spooky cupcakes and dressing our cat up in a cloak! Hehe.

    Maya

Currently watching with my mum. So much love for this show. My theory is Alan is next on the round table... we'll have to see.

  18. A traitor and faithful join the live page team for the nightpublished at 20:46 GMT

    Adam Goldsmith
Live reporter, and a definite faithful

We've done some recruiting of our own tonight, and will be bringing you the thoughts of a sneaky traitor and certified faithful when the programme gets underway.

From a room in the heart of the BBC, I'll be relaying the thoughts of fan-favourite Alexander Dragonetti.

A faithful from the start - remember how he wasn't even able to enter the castle at first after volunteering to step off the train? Alexander eventually made it to the final before being painfully banished with the prize money in sight.

Also donning the cloak once more is former traitor Minah Shannon.

The Liverpudlian's quiet confidence earned her a commendable seventh place finish as she flew under the radar, and she'll be watching closely with us to see if Cat's similar strategy pays off.

They'll both be sharing their thoughts here during tonight's show.

  19. New to this? Here's how it workspublished at 20:44 GMT

    Emma Bullimore
    TV commentator

Presuming that celebrities play by the same rules as us mere mortals, we’re expecting the traditional fireside finale to this series.

After a final roundtable – where the banished party is not allowed to reveal whether they are a traitor or not – it’s time to throw colours on the flames (this show is nothing if not flamboyant, you know that).

Each player has a decision to make: throwing a red pouch means they want to spill more blood by voting again. A green pouch signifies they want to end the game (the centuries old tradition of red meaning stop has no credence here).

The game only ends when everyone picks green, i.e. when all agree there are no more traitors in the game. Or if only two players are left.

If any traitors remain, they split the prize pot. If there are only faithfuls left, then the dosh is theirs to keep (although celebs have to give it to charity of course).
