  1. 'I've trusted no one since episode one, even my cat's been giving me side-eye'published at 20:40 GMT 6 November

I'm all set and ready for the final. I've trusted no-one since episode one, even my cat's been giving me side-eye during the show.

Alan has forgotten he had a shield, laughed when declaring himself a faithful and been sweaty and shifty throughout. What more does he have to do to announce his guilt.

  2. Not long to go now, who is going to win?published at 20:36 GMT 6 November

    Emma Bullimore
TV commentator, and in Joe's gang of 'Hundies'

Last we saw, Alan couldn’t keep a straight face, instantly bursting into giggles as he tried to declare himself a faithful.

That could well be written off as ‘Alan being Alan’, but the heat is building on him, as Cat continues to slip under the radar.

Bizarrely, it feels like tonight will be all about David Olusoga (not a sentence I thought I’d be writing as he narrowly avoided banishment at the expense of Mark Bonnar). Razor sharp Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed seem to have sussed the game late in the day and they have each other’s backs.

But if the dastardly Traitors stay faithful to each other then it’s two against two. David is wandering aimlessly through no-man’s land, and whoever can win his allegiance would be in a strong position to bag the prize pot.

  3. Former faithful Alexander picks his favourite series momentpublished at 20:33 GMT 6 November

Alexander is wearing a white shirt and a checkered black blazer.

Just before he heads over to watch the grand finale with us, series three faithful Alexander Dragonetti is sharing his thoughts on our stream - which you can watch live at the top of the page.

As tonight's outcome hangs in the balance, Alexander says the game's brilliance comes from the fact "it's so well balanced between the two sides".

That said, he says he could still see "Cat sailing through" until the end, but admits it would be fun to see some "traitor on traitor" action.

Meanwhile, after Alan's numerous slip-ups, Alexander says the beloved TV host's success so far "says more about people's failure to find him than it does about people's gameplay".

Alexander's favourite moment of the series? Jonathan's banishment speech, which he says leant into the "pantomime feel" of the show.

We'll have more of Alexander's reaction as the final gets underway at 21:00 GMT. Stay tuned.

  4. The price of fame: Why Celeb Traitors has a new layer of dramapublished at 20:29 GMT 6 November

For me, the biggest difference has been that on Celebrity Traitors, many of them already knew each other before entering the castle.

That's added a whole new layer of drama - and it's also made it much harder for them to lie.

In one of the earliest episodes, Alan Carr murdered Paloma Faith - he later told cameras that he felt "awful" as he'd "gone and murdered one of my best friends".

And there were other nods to the contestants' relationships pre-Traitors - like when Clare Balding seemed gutted to see Tom Daley murdered.

"I've known him since he was about 12 years old," she said.

It’s been properly fascinating to see the friendships dynamics play out - I unpick the six degrees of separation here.

  5. Can Alan get away with his 'I'm a faithful' cackle? - Series 3's Charlotte asks the key questionpublished at 20:24 GMT 6 November

Charlotte is wearing a pink jumper and red dungarees and smiling at the camera. The traitors castle is behind herImage source, BBC/PA

The biggest difference with Celebrity Traitors is that they can't pull off any secrets, as they're already known to the public eye.

No secret mother-son duos, no secret relationships - and certainly no fake accents.

You'll definitely remember that from Charlotte Berman in season three, who put on a fake Welsh accent for the whole show.

"It's so surreal that I was there!" she tells us. "One of the first things I said on the round table was, 'Oooh! I sat where Celia's sitting!"

This leads her to one of her theories - that you're more likely to accuse whoever's sat opposite you at the round table, because you're not really looking at those sat directly next to you.

But when it comes to tonight's finale, she's hoping her fellow traitors can pull it out the bag. There's one key question, though - "do we think Alan can get away with that 'I'm a faithful' cackle?"

A reminder, you can watch live as we hear from some former contestants at the top of the page.

  6. No spoilers! Celebrity Traitors final briefly uploaded 24 hours early outside UKpublished at 20:23 GMT 6 November

We're gearing up to bring you coverage of tonight's much-anticipated Celebrity Traitors final, which kicks off at 21:00 GMT.

But a few hundred people using the streaming service Crave in Canada have already had a sneak peek of tonight's show.

That's after an error by the overseas broadcaster - which the BBC was not responsible for - saw the final uploaded early.

If you're one of the few who have seen the show's outcome the BBC is asking you to "avoid sharing potential spoilers".

And instead, you can follow along with us as we find out whether the traitors or faithful prevail this evening.

  7. Series One's Maddy says celebs 'should have done more snooping like Celia'published at 20:11 GMT 6 November

    Maddy SmedleyImage source, BBC/Listen Entertainment

As we build up to tonight's grand final, you can watch live at the top of the page as we hear from former contestants on how this year's show has played out.

Kicking things off is series one faithful Maddy Smedley, who says that the celebrity series has been played out very differently to her own.

"I think they've enjoyed it a lot more than we did, which is quite nice... for them," she laughs. "They can have a laugh with it, whereas we were like, 'we've got to find these traitors'."

Reacting to the faithfuls' poor performance this series, Maddy says the players "should have done more snooping like Celia".

But she says that if Nick and Joe team up in tonight's final, they've got a strong chance of winning.

  8. You share your predictions for tonight's finalpublished at 20:08 GMT 6 November

Your Voice, Your BBC News banner

We've been hearing from you ahead of tonight's final:

The celebrity version of Traitors has been absolutely superb! Loved every episode, and the choice of celebs is simply perfect. Going to be truly gripped to tonight’s final! Don’t want it to end!

    Bev, Coventry

Joe and Nick to share prize.

Alan and Cat will be banished first, and given there’s been suspicion over David throughout Joe will persuade Nick to banish him in final vote off, leaving them to share the prize.

    Gavin, Loch Ness

It has been a great first series of The Celebrity Traitors and I’m keeping my fingers firmly crossed that there will be a second one.

As for the final, this is what I ‘think’ will happen:

Alan will be banished first, then Cat (I would feel bad because Cat has played a terrific game as a traitor), with David being the last banishment. Joe and Nick to win and share the prize pot.

And Claudia Winkleman deserves every single award for presenting this show!

  9. A new lease of life for 'flabbergasted'published at 20:04 GMT 6 November

I don’t think it’s a word I ever really used before, but thanks to Celeb Traitors, it’s had a new lease of life.

In episode two, Kate Garraway declared she was "flabbergasted" by the first murder.

Tom Daley had no time for it, giving her a serious side eye."Who uses that word?" he asks.

"You can't just call someone a Traitor because they have a better vocabulary than you," replied Alan Carr, in an exchange that's also gone viral.

Kate Garraway later told Celeb Traitors: Uncloaked that she's had kids running up to her, shouting "Kate, Kate, we're flabbergasted."

This is exactly the kind of content I am here for.

  10. There's a new Traitors style icon in townpublished at 19:59 GMT 6 November

    Rachel Flynn
Live reporter, probably a nervous faithful

Move over Claudia, as Jonathan Ross - the first and only traitor to have been banished this series - has served up some serious looks.

The 'big-dog' failed to fly under the faithfuls' radar - and no wonder with these standout fits.

  11. The moment that will linger long after the seriespublished at 19:54 GMT 6 November

    Noor Nanji
    Culture reporter

Now lets take a look at some of the best moments from the series - and there have been SO many highlights.

But if there’s one thing I think we’re all going to be left with after the series ends, it’s got to be Celia Imrie’s fart.

During the third episode, the veteran British actress released wind at a tense point in the game, leaving fellow contestants and fans in hysterics.

"What just happened?" presenter Claudia Winkleman demanded.

"I just farted, Claudia. It's nerves, but I always own up," responded Imrie, sparking howls of laughter.

Kate Garraway summed it up later when she told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "It was so loud! How could somebody so elegant, so petite, so gracious, let off that huge sound?"

"And it was so nerve-racking in a serious moment. It was my favourite, favourite moment in that cabin."

One X user said it was "the TV highlight of the year", while another said we'd "peaked as a nation".

    Comedy gold. Thank you, Celia.

  12. Appointment to view telly: The holy grail for TV commissionerspublished at 19:46 GMT 6 November

    Emma Bullimore
TV commentator, and in Joe's gang of 'Hundies'

When was the last time you sat down to watch something at a set hour, full of anticipation and fearful of spoilers? Perhaps ahead of the Gavin & Stacey special on Christmas Day last year, but it’s difficult to think of much else in between.

Appointment to view telly is the holy grail for TV commissioners, but it’s getting harder to make. These days we all want programming to fit in with our schedule, not vice versa.

But tonight, on an unremarkable Thursday evening, people will be getting the earlier train home and rushing their children up the stairs to bed so that they can watch the finale as it airs.

Slow Horses might be the cool kid on the block, but it couldn’t unite the country like a theatrical celebrity romp at a Scottish castle.

We do love a panto after all.

From the comfort of an armchair, it's easy to think you would outperform the traitors or faithfuls if you were at the dreaded round table.

Well, let's put that to the test.

Try our quiz to see how you'd really cope - in a show where a day of scheming can unravel in a heartbeat.

  15. BBC Verify

Were round table selections worse than if they picked at random?published at 19:28 GMT 6 November

    By Anthony Reuben

The contestants didn’t manage to find a traitor until their sixth round table.

As they talked about their failure to find traitors there were suggestions of alternative strategies - including Stephen Fry saying they should vote straight away at the round table, instead of discussing it.

That would, of course, create great problems for the programme’s producers, but not as bad as if they picked people to banish randomly.

If you crunch the numbers, it turns out that if they picked people to banish completely randomly, there is a 72% chance that they would have found a traitor quicker - in fewer than six attempts.

  16. Have the traitors played a blinder, or have the faithfuls had their blinkers on?published at 19:20 GMT 6 November

    Hannah Karpel
    Live reporter, and wannabe traitor

It’s fair to say that the traitors have played a blinder this season.

Ultimately, confusion and gut feelings have driven the faithfuls into failed banishments time and time again.

This might be the first celebrity season, but the three previous seasons saw betrayals just as brutal - and accusations just as baseless.

So where does the performance of this season’s traitors rank?

    • In season one, it took them until episode six to banish their first traitor, Alyssa Chan
    • But in series two they were faster, with traitor Ash Bibi banished in episode five
    • In season three there were no niceties, and in record time traitor Armani Gouveia was banished in episode three
    • But this time round, it took the celebrities until episode seven to banish their first traitor - Jonathan Ross
  17. Putting entertaining people in this game has only made it richerpublished at 19:14 GMT 6 November

    Emma Bullimore
TV commentator, and in Joe's gang of 'Hundies'

I’ll admit it, when the celebrity version of The Traitors was announced, my heart sank. Influencers and Z listers pouting in the turrets felt like an easy way to ruin a brilliant format.

    But how wrong I was.

In my defence, I could have never anticipated the glittering line-up producers managed to attract to the castle. Stephen Fry surprised even himself by saying yes, and nobody could have predicted the hilarity of Celia Imrie’s flatulence.

Putting naturally entertaining people into this game – all in some way friends, colleagues, and fans of each other – has only made it richer.

Thoughts have inevitably turned to who will be cast for series two, with rumours ranging from Danny Dyer to Dame Judi Dench.

Agents will be clambering to sign up their clients – who needs the Strictly curse when you can bask in the glory of the Traitors?

  18. Hang on, what's happened again?published at 19:04 GMT 6 November

The last few weeks of celebrity gossiping, scheming and the occasional fart may feel like one big crazy jumbled dream.

But it really did all happen. Let's get you up to speed:

    • It all began with 19 contestants, with three of them - Cat Burns, Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross chosen as traitors
    • It took a whopping seven episodes for faithfuls to successfully banish a traitor, "big-dog" Jonathan Ross
    • Alan successfully killed two contestants in plain sight - friend Paloma Faith as the traitors' first victim, and then Celia Imrie in the penultimate episode
    • Now just two traitors remain - Cat and Alan - alongside three faithfuls - Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga
    • Along the way there's been plenty of drama, as well as some iconic moments - we've pulled together ten of those which you can watch in the carousel at the top of the page (and a warning, they could contain spoilers for episodes past!)
  19. Will the traitors triumph? Or will the faithfuls emerge victorious?published at 18:56 GMT 6 November
